WEED SCREEN CLEANING SYSTEMS

CHAIN-TYPE WEED SCREEN CLEANING SYSTEMS:

CHAIN -TYPE SYSTEMS

Our chain-type weed screen cleaning systems are used for trash raking in irrigation pumping stations. They represent one version of a broad category of weed screen cleaning systems used to remove weeds accumulating on rack bars at open-source water intakes. A set of machines is installed in the target site. Proper mounting takes care of future enhancements. A greasing system serves all machines. A control system allows for manual and automatic operation. This service is effectively provided in four sites across Egypt.

Weed Screen Cleaning Machine:

The weed screen cleaning machine rakes weeds accumulating on weed screens. Cleaning takes place as a rake moves along the screen from bottom to top. Power is provided by an electric geared motor. A drive shaft drives a continuous chain through a system of sprockets. Motion is transmitted to the machine rake through the chain. Read More.

Chassis:

Mounted on the water intake platform, the chassis provides the weed screen cleaning machine with hinged fixation. It is also intended to carry the horizontal belt conveyor meant to transfer weeds outside the platform. Read More.

Weed Screen:

The weed screen provides primary screening of weeds available in open water sources prior to supply to hydro-power stations and all types of pumping stations. Read More.

Greasing System:

A self-starting greasing system greases lower sprockets upon single or multiple machine operation. Manual greasing is not feasible as lower sprockets are well immersed in water intakes. Read More.

Control System:

A control system is dedicated to each station to monitor and control machines under manual and automatic operation modes. A separate control panel is dedicated to each mode. Read More.

Future Enhancements:

These include belt conveyors to transfer collected weeds off the water intake platform and a maintenance winch to lift machines outside intakes for maintenance purposes.

Review Your Needs ...

Solely designed by DMMAS engineers, our SD-CFCM 1000 brand of chain-type cleaning systems was jointly manufactured with Sakr Factory for Developed Industries to satisfy the requirements of The Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation. Different versions can be developed to suit specific situations. We are prepared to provide consultation, contribute to project evaluation or participate in project implementation.

A pumping station typically comprises multiple water intakes. A separate chain-type fixed weed screen cleaning machine is allocated to each intake. The number of machines installed will accordingly differ from site to site. It ranges from four to six in our current installations in Egypt. Four machines are installed in both Al-Haress and the Maryout-2 stations. Five machines are available in the

Machines are stopped upon severe malfunction. Emergency stops are also enabled.
